イーサリアムEthereumハードフォーク「メトロポリス」が、9月18日より運用される、と11日、開発者より正式に発表された。

メトロポリスへのアップグレードは二段階。
一段階目は「 Byzantium（ビザンチウム）」と、二段階目は「 Constantinople（コンスタンティノープル）」と名付けられている。
9月18日のアップグレードは「 Byzantium 」、その後順調であれば 10月9日「 Constantinople 」へ、との予定されているようだ。
現実的には３~４週間の修正期間を経た10月中旬以降、１０月後半にメトロポリスがスタートするだろう、という見方が強いようだ。
